I've found a satin nickel series 70 .38 Super CC for less than $400. It's supposed to be in excellent condition. I'd thought about adding a Caspian alloy frame for carry, or converting this to 9X23. Any thoughts on whether it's a good deal. If I got it, should I go forward with either of the above plans?

I have the exact same gun, but I paid over $600 for it a few months ago. Of course, here in MA, any 1911 costs at least $200-$400 more than anywhere else due to the fact that you can't buy them new so the used ones are bringing premium prices. If it were me, I'd grab it.
