On a pretty much stock 70 series Colt Govt.(only thing not stock is a Videcki long trigger) what weight Wolff mainspring would give a 4.5lb trigger pull or close to 4.5lbs.

It ain't likely to happen with just a spring. If you really want 4.5# pull, a smith will have to work over your hammer & sear a bit plus refit the thumb safety after fitting the h/s. Shouldn't have to mess with the spring then. Not a real good idea anyway. Wrong approach to the job. Good luck & God bless.
