In order to have versatility in a firearm, would it be possible to have one gun built in 9 X 23 and then have extra barrels for additional calibers?

If so, which calibers would be available?

You could have a 9mm barrel fitted, along with a 38 super,9x21,9mm largo,38tj,9mm super comp,38 supercomp, etc. But then you have to readjust the extractor, change the recoil spring.

Seriously, I would have a 9mm(9x19)barrel fitted in case you run into some cheap 9mm for practice. The 38 super can sometimes be used in the 9x23 chamber depending on the chamber size. Seems like there is no standard for the 9x23 chamber. I know Dane had a reamer made for the chamber size he likes and EGW has on they use along with Nowlin, BarSto and a host of others.
