A reminder- on 27-28 Oct Rangemaster will conduct an Advanced Combatives Skills Course at the Dallas Pistol Club in Carrollton, TX. The course will be taught by Dane Burns, Jim Higginbotham, and Tom Givens, and will be an intensive weekend. We combine gun skills, empty hand techniques, and personal tactics in a fighting system.
Students rotate among the three trainers, so there is no down time and LOTS of training. This class is about 2/3 full now.

As Chad said, details are at http://www.rangemaster.com. Cost is $299.00, which is dirt cheap considering it's like three classes at once. We train all day Saturday, have a night session Sat evening, and train all day Sunday.

Jim teaches high speed gun skills, Dane teaches hand to hand and building clearing tactics, and I teach mindset issues and some shooting technique. It's a very intensive weekend.

This class is now about six weeks away. I really hate to lose anyone, but I certainly understand a reluctance to fly right now.
How about some of you guys who live closer to Dallas? There are slots left, and this promises to be a very worthwhile and enjoyable outing.

The motel we recommend is the Days Inn in Lewisville, 972-436-0080. This is an inexpensive motel just a 10-15 minute drive from the range.

For anyone that hasn't received the info yet, here are some details.
Be sure to bring a good flashlight (6P,6Z,8X,etc.), a concealment garment, and a pair of work gloves.1,000 rds will cover you.
Class starts at 0830 Sat and will go on until probably 2000 Sat evening, with dim light work after sunset. Report at the classroom.
The Dallas Pistol Club is at 1830 W. Belt Line Road, one mile west of I-35. Just past Luna Road and before the bridge you take a gravel side road and go under the railroad trestle.
It would be wise to pack a lunch and some drinks for Saturday. It will be a long day. Rain gear is needed--we train rain or shine.
