I recently picked up a used Commander at a local show, when I cleaned it I removed the sight ( a S&W) to see if the shop or smith that did the work (very good work) had marked the slide, the name "Al's 45 Shop" was stamped on the slide.

Does any one on this list have any information on this shop.

Any information would be appreciated.

Hi, I believe the smith that built that 45 is Al Greco. He is located in Pa.
You can brouse his web sit at alscustom.com.
Hope this is the smith as Al Greco does excellent work.

When I read this a smith by the name of Capone in the Los Angeles area came to mind. I may be wrong but that was my thought. Regards, Richard
