FWIW, Have a 4 yr. old Premier II that had a similar problem. In its case it was due to the inherent tightness of the pistol, probably the locking lugs were/are the main culprit. Did have to make the extra effort in cleanliness & lube. It was long gone by 100 rounds even with this particular gun having their 1 1/2" guarantee. It did, however, take 400-500 rounds of the equivilent of 230 gr. American Eagle Ball, etc. to get the pistol to be easily "Broken" from battery by hand. Don't hesitate to call Les or Jim. In my experience they have always been very willing to help sort things out.
