Pete Carber of Custom Arms Co. (CAC) in Penndel, PA (just outside Phila.) does
fabulous Hi-Power work. Anyone interested in
the Hi-power in particular or fine custom firearms in general owes it to themselves to check out his web-site - http://www.customarms.com.
One of "Pistol Pete's" specialties is extended beavertails. He can also take a clay impression of the shooter's hand and add fingergrooves to the frontstrap custom fitted to the shooter's grip. No visible weldmarks, seams, or color variation regardless of the final finish. I've seen him do this work on a bare stainless PPK-S! A true master in metal -
quite impressive!

I took a close look at two P-35's during SHOT that Bill Laughridge had done. Very clean and well done as with everything I have ever seen from Cylinder & Slide. Bill has been doing Hi Power work forever and has some good information in his catalog.

I have also handled a couple of nice Hi Powers from Wayne Novak's shop. The Special Ops is super slick, just out of my price range.
