Topic says it all.

Looking for something to shoot with in winter.

Your suggestions, as well as websites and prices would be appreciated.

I think I'm less than four weeks away from needing some protection for my digits....

You might also consider the synthetic leather football gloves, which are very pliable and have a tacky feel, which helps hold onto mags, etc. in chilly weather.

The best way to get your hands on Nomex flight gloves, other than an Army Surplus store, is to just join the Air Force. I know that is why I joined. All the cool clothes they give me...

Any opinions on the Kevlar gloves? They are apparently as heat resistent as Nomex, plus they have more cut-resistance than Nomex. Are these worth it?

Also, anyone seen or used Hatch's new Operator tactical gloves? Worth it?

I have used the Hatch Fm3500 series since they were introduced in 1994 and I like them quite a bit.

They are not necessarily snow gloves but they do keep my hands warm without excessive persperation while maintianing a good feel for trigger control.

For cold/wet snow use I have found the Hatch Nr309 neoprene specialist rescue dive gloves to be excellent.

Product info is available @ http://www.hatch-corp.com/

http://www.galls.com also has a good selection of Gates and Hatch gloves.

Botach also carries Hatch and other gloves.

Have shot with both the Hatch Nomex flight gloves, and the neoprene specialists. Specialists will run about $13-$14 dealer cost, the flight gloves around $16, if memory serves me right.

Available from Moteng, 800-367-5900...you will need a retail license to do biz with them. Good folks.
