[Double Naught Spy]

I have a black 1911, but the barrel bushing is a brushing stainless. I would like for the bushing to better match the gun. Is there some sort of really dark blue that I can apply without having to bake it on or anything like that? I have seen some of the cold blues, but the ones I have seen tend to come out looking really blue, not close to approximating black or even dark blue for that matter.

My other option is to get a black barrel bushing and have it fitted, but this is a cosmetic change and I see no reason to replace the part or go to that much expense.

I think you will have to get another bushing.If I remeber right,you can`t blue stainless you can only plate it or coat it.
