David, dunno about Charleston, but before I moved to Kansas a couple of years ago, there were at least 2 clubs in West Cola and a couple of good ones in Greenville. The SCPPA at the Greenville Gun Club is a particularly great group of folks.

The SC State IDPA match is being held in Spartanburg (or is it Anderson? Damn, I can't remember right now; check http://www.idpa.com to see), so there are plenty o' shooters in SC. Shouldn't be too hard to find some in your neck of the woods (or shore, as the case may be).

Damn, I miss South Carolina.

Thanks for the suggestions. I appreciate your taking the time to respond and will follow up on your tips.

The SC State IDPA match was this past weekend in Anderson, but I had an unbreakable prior commitment. There must be some corollary of Murphy's Law to the effect that any two events you wish to or are required to attend will be held simultaneous to one another.

I spent year in Kansas, and with no disrespect intended I must say I prefer the Charleston area. Last night we ate fillets from a flounder caught only hours before, wrapped around crab meat from the creek behind the house. :grin: The Low Country ain't perfect, but it'll do.
