Just leave the plunger parts out of the slide and laeve the slide alone in case you want to return the slide back to the 80 set up. After the plunger and spring are removed from the slide you can use either the 70 or 80 firing pin and stop. Brownells does sell a spacer for the frame to fill the space voided by removal of the upper lever of the 80 set-up. Use the 70 series sear and hammer. Again retain all the old parts in case you want to go back to the 80 set-up. I did it to a few of my pistols and they work fine I also kept the set-up in my Delta Elite and it works fine with a 4lb trigger.
