I was shooting a Para-Ordnance P14*45
today and the slide stop broke right at the barrel link. I was a little surprised to say the least.
Has this ever happenned to anyone else?
Where can I get a replacement?

Yes I have had it happen to me twice.Once on a Colt and once with a Springfield Armory 1911.If I were you I would get a Wilson Combat replacement.

Try to determine Why it broke. Was it a defective part or a misfit barrel? Buy a good one from a reputable supplier.

I have seen this on two different Para guns.

One was my neighbor's. Might have been operator error. He seemed to be prying on it with a screwdriver.

Para sent him a new part.

The other Para...I don't think it was a stock Para part.

I had the slide stop of a range rental M-1991 break on me.

I broke a slide stop and after I replaced it with a Wilson's, I broke the link. Seems I had a little problem with the barrel lug lockup. New barrel time.

Doesn't Wilson's make a super duper slide stop that sells for around $50.00?
