Guys,
Since we are all learned men, lets have some of your favorite quotes. Try to give credit to the author if you know it. Here are a few to get us started:
"All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing." Edmund Burke
"We should never attempt to get more equality by doing less justice" Ernest van den Haag
"Let us speak courteously, deal fairly, and keep ourselves armed and ready." Theodore Roosevelt, May 13, 1903
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty or safety." Benjamin Franklin
"Virtue is not always amiable." John Adams
"If you have to write your ethics rules down, you've already lost." Tom Clancy, THE BEAR AND THE DRAGON
"If all men were just, there would be no need for valor." Agesilaus
"No man is above the law and no man below it; nor do we ask any man's permission when we require him to obey it." Theodore Roosevelt
