"To crush your enemies! To see him driven before you! And to hear the lamentations of his women!"

Conan responding to the question what is best in life (Conan the Barbarian).

I think this quote was originally from Ghengis Khan. Someone else may know for sure. The Conan writers shamelessly stole it. But I never let ownership get in the way of using a great line!

I'm somewhat of a bull$hitter myself but every now and then I pause to listen to a real master. - I have no idea who

Most of my favorites have already been listed here, but one that I came up with while watching my Father in Law trying to remember the steps in assembling a holster at my shop:

"Dad,,next year you ought to be able to hide your own Easter Basket"..

He often mumbles out loud as to why he ever allowed me to marry his daughter..

"In Germany, they first came for the communists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Catholic. Then they came for me -- and by that time there was nobody left to speak up."
