Hi guys,
Bought a NIB Para Ordnance carry 9 pistol. Took it home and disassembled it, cleaned and oiled the gun. Took it to the range today, started with some commercial ammo PCM 115grn FMJ RN, first shot FTE, cleared and reloaded fired and FTE again. Tried some 124 grn bullets and some 147 grn same thing. I got maybe 3 rounds to fire before FTE. It looks like the case is parcially ejected (1\8 inch) and another bullet is trying to chamber from the mag. Can any one give some guidance here. Thanks

The "usual" for this is a defective extractor, or, less likely a defective ejector.

Since you've tried more than one type of ammo, this is one that should go back to the factory.
If it's failing that much, it's not likely to be something you can easily fix, and attempting to do so will void the warranty.

Contact them and have them send you a pick up label or schedule a pick up so you don't have to pay for shipping.
You paid for a good gun and didn't get it. Let them fix it on their dime.

Just an update.
I stripped the gun down and removed the ejector, cleaned it and lightly oiled the spring and put all back together. Took it out to the range on Sunday and tried again. First couple of mags shot with out to much trouble but after that, the FTE started up again. Will be calling Para on Monday to get it shipped back. Will keep you updated.

Just to update you on whats happening, On Monday july 8, I called Para-USA and talked to customer service. I explained to them about the Failure to extract on almost every round. They asked if I had the 2 piece extractor and I told them yes it was the 2 piece, they said they would send out the new type extractor. On Friday I received the new 1 piece type extractor, I replace the old extractor with the new and needed to adjust the new extractor. Took the gun out today and ran over 200 rounds thru it without one hic-up. I plan to run 200-300 more rounds thru before I concider it fit to carry. The only proplem left is with the mags, they are 8 round single stack. If I load them with 8 rounds I will get a failure to feed on the secound round, but if I only load them with 7 rounds the mags work flawlessly. As I have read on this and other forums the Para mags are the problem and I will buy some after market mags to replace them. Sorry for the long post.
