I just recently registered here and wanted to say hello to everyone.
I'm a retired LEO and firearms instructor for Arizona's CCW permits. I carried one form or other of 1911 for 26 years and competed in IPSC (early days), steel combat (like Steel Challange but been around longer), PPC (bullseye shooting with a revolver at a B-27 target) and IDPA.
Got into Glocks when I cracked my third alloy framed Commander. I don't like Glocks as much as I liked 1911s but I have come to respect them from my own experience (well over 10,000 rounds) and compairing them to other guns in the classes I teach and I've trained about 700 civilians since retiring.
I look forward to learning from you and maybe being able to offer an insite or two from my own experience.
