Was doing some hardware driver testing on a new high end vid card, and hammered my W2K install on my main box. I could not even pull it up under SAFE MODE. Fortunately, earlier in the day, I had ordered some new hd's for stock and clients. However, UPS left my package behind and put me behind a day. Early this morning around 0130, I was able to recover my data from a very secure W2K main drive. It refused me access because of lack of permissions, but I retrieved my data!
Backup! Backup! Backup!
My last one was 10 days before crash and in the interim too much important data had been entered.
I know better, but still have to test these things...
