Hello. Just wondering. On another forum, a gentleman asked the same question. I've had a CZ75 slide with him for several months and spoke with him a week or two back concerning a delivery time. Mr. Wickmann stated that the work I'd ordered was done and that all he had to do was assemble the slide and ship it. So far, nothing.

I do know that his family's suffered some pretty severe personal medical problems, but that was a few months ago.

Hi Mr Camp: Yes, I sent Kurt a new BHP Practical the first week of November and received it today, November 16th. I had a trigger job, reliability package, barrel crowning and polished trigger face done. He e-mailed me the day he received it and had it back in 2 weeks. I'm happy with his communications and look forward to shooting his work.. Happy Thanksgiving to all....Keith

Stephen A. Camp I think this shows where your project was on Kurt's "Hit Parade." Remember, the same work was completed by Novak for me in one month? I really hope he ships your slide. Regards, Richard

Hello. Yesterday, I received my slide back (CZ-75) from Mr. Wickmann. I'd had him install Novak fixed sights and the job appears to've been done very, very well. Sights appear to be the proper heights and the metal work is great. The reblue of the slide, in which I had the slide flats polished, is also beyond reproach.

I've not yet shot the gun to see if it's "on", but will when the temperature gets back up and it's not blowing rain.

I had a buddy in Fairbanks who was a member of the 40 below club. You had to shoot one round of skeet in -40 or below to get the patch. Yikes, I'm glad it never got that cold in Anchorage while I was there. -25 was bad enough. Nothing like firing a .44 Super Blackhawk in ski gloves.

Just a note for all who browse this board. Kurt Wickmann is an excellent 'smith and a stand-up guy. He has worked on numerous handguns (semi-auto and revolver) for me. His work is exactly what I was looking for in a gunsmith: a down to earth guy who knows how to build/customize fine defense firearms. His work always exceeds my expectations. I find him always a phone call away. He has never, in my experience been hard to contact and has always returned my firearms in a timely fashion... sometimes even quicker than I expected. I find this kind of business relationship refreshing. Thumbs up in the personality department also.

Hello, Duke. Yup! The work was great! I gave him the slide only and told him that the front sight had been filed to bring the poi to poa and to put on the new sights such that the ratio between the front and rear sights was the same.

Evidently he did. At the range, the gun was dead-bang on target with no sight changes being necessary at all.

He was much slower than he originally told me, but after numerous phone calls to him, I have to agree that he was a polite, helpful sort.

Kudo's to Kurt Wickmann. I had the opportunity to shoot the Wickmann HiPower and it is right on. Beautiful work as described by his clientel. My Novak HP project came back after $600.00+ work with everything to my liking, however the "Reliability Package" hasn't been reliable. A $90.00 charge for the slide to lock back on nearly every magazine fired. That's no reliablility package!! Seems the slide lock is loose and locks the slide back as it bounces off of the frame. All of my Hi-Power work will be going to Kurt from this point on. He's RELIABLE.

Thanks Bodeen. I'll replace that with the next size Wolff spring. I believe that'll be a 19# or a 20#. I replaced the slide lock with a new one from Brownells and that seems to fix the problem. I appreciate your help.....Keith
