Over at Guns America there is supposed to be a new model Practical. It has a spur hammer compared to the normal rounded one. Was there a change in recent production?

Hello. That's a Practical alright, but like you, I've never seen one without the ball hammer! They have all been hard chromed as is the spur hammer shown in the picture.

This is only a guess: Since FN's cut back its production of P35s, could it be that they are simply going to standardize with one hammer for cost reasons?

Yep, that one is mine. I also thought the Practical's had ring style hammers, but obviously this one doesn't! I haven't been able to see any more new ones to compare features with, however. The label says "Practical", so that's what I called it. It is a nice gun, though. I got it from a regular customer who wanted a customized Hi Power I had for sale.
