I need a HK qualified gunsmith in Phoenix, AZ so I can change out a USP 45 from a varient 2 to a varient 1 (Left hand safety to right hand safety) so the weapon can be imported into CA. (California will only allow varient one USPs.)
Anyone?

I do not know of a gunsmith, but this is the most ridiculas thing I have heard in a long time. They will not import a left hand safety gun. The land of ultra liberal, screwed up politics is discriminating against left handed people. Sounds to me like you have a law suit on your hands, not that I support lawyers.

This is a very simple installation/swap and if you are even remotely handy you could change the parts over in less than 15 mintutes if you are unable to find a local smith.
