The holster maker approved method is to put the gun in a plastic bag and push it into the holster.
Make sure it's fully seated and just leave it a day or two.
After this if it's still too tight put it in two plastic bags and give it another day or so.
This will stretch the leather just enough to loosen it slightly, but won't over-stretch it.

DO NOT use water, alcohol, or any leather dressings or oils to try to stretch it, that will only ruin it.

The Plastic Bag method is the one recommended by Galco and DeSantis Leather when you get one of their holsters and it is Too Tight for your Gun. I normally leave it overnight and that usually does the job. If you have a SUPER Tight Holster that is Lined I have used 2 plastic bags and it has taken up to 3 days for the leather to loosen up where it is easy to go in and out but still has enough RETENTION to have the holster upside down and the pistol does not fall out! I hope that his helps you out!
