I have a Kimber Custom Eclipse, and so far have a bout 200 rounds through it. After a range session yesterday, I noticed spring imprints on the guide rod. The imprints while not deep were disturbing. They are at the base of the guide rod. Also, I'm not sure if this is related, I noticed some battering marks from the slide on the guide rod plate

Is this normal? This was shot mostly with 230gr FMJ. Recoil spring is a stock 16lbs. Is a heavier spring indicated? A shock buff? Both? Feeding and extraction have been flawless.

Thanks,

Mike
