I was wondering if anyone has ever had jeweling done to any 1991 parts. I've had several parts jeweled on rifles and shotguns, and I wanted to get the slide stop, thumb safety and hammer jeweled on my matte stainless 1991 Gov. The trigger is Videcki, which I think is aluminum, so that's probably out of the question. Are the parts that I want jeweled MIM? Does it matter?

"Jewelers" Plz Help! Thanks, TomP

You can jewel anything including the aluminum trigger. All it is is circular scratches that deflects light.

Jeweling

I did my Springfield XD40 barrel hood. Turned out really good. I also did my Kimber Custom II 1911 Hammer, Trigger, Barrel Bushing, and the barrel hood. I used a horozontal indexer that uses a C5 collet http://www.use-enco.com/CGI/INPDFF?PMPAGE=336&PMITEM=235-6011 for the barrel hood. Everything came out very nice. really looks good after it was put back together.

I have put some pictures up of my friends Glock I did today and my Springfield XD40 I did last weekend. http://s60.photobucket.com/albums/h10/19civic95/Jeweling/
