Unfortunately, I won't have time for the range for a few weeks.

I am not sold on my Rosewood grips. They look great, but I am used to rubber on my grips on my .45. I also hope my night sites last longer than many of the posters'.

Rubber? Noooooooooo!

The only rubber on my 1911s is the Shok Buff. But hey you do what you will that makes you happy. Give us a range report when you shoot your new Kimber. Congrats and enjoy!

Hey you will love it. I have one and it is great, except for the dead night sights. Sent it off to Kimber today for replacement.

Handling shooting is great. Just watch the front sight so you will notice if it goes dim.

How could you take off those beautiful grips?

I love my Pro CDP, 2 mos. old, 1000 rds, no problems, and the front light is still lit. I used a lite emory cloth to take some of the sharp points off of my grips, it sure helped, and you can't tell.
