This is much akin to "curb feelers" on a HUMV.
Lasermax for 1911: Review.
They've just released it and I was playing with a Kimber that had one.
The slide lock is replaced and the piece seems a little cheap on the outside. It looks cast, and the lines aren't very sharp.
The one I played with was dead-on from the factory, but(unlike the other lasermax's) it is adjustable for POA as well.
It comes with a bushing wrench, little allen tool, slide-lock, guide rod, bushing plug and spring.
The slide lock has a lever on both sides (unlike the regular lasermax which have a button) which turn's on the Pulsating Laser of Doom.
All in all, really nice if you want a laser.
