I have been a long time lurker on the 1911 board and just foud out about this place. I am very impressed.

I'm having a Kimber pro-cary (commander size) worked on by a pistol smith friend of mine.

I'm having the frame hard chromed and the slide done in one of the black teflon finishes. King ambi safety, Heni 8's, and a few other things.

I have looked far and wide for a picture of such a creature and have yet to be sucessfull. I've been to Dane's page (beautiful work, after graduation mabey :grin: and have found pictures of hard chromed pistols but they all had blued slides or were 5 inchers... as far as I could tell.

Does anone have any idea where I can find something close.
