Hello. For the last 10 yrs or so, Mec-Gar has made the magazines for Browning as well as other gun makers.
They are high, but are the best in my view. Right now, as good a deal as any and better than most can be found at http://www.novaksights.com/ or you can try the 17rnd SA "KRD" magazines being sold at http://www.cdnninvestments.com for about $20 a pop. Both have worked very well for me in a variety of 9mm HPs from 70s to current vintage. Inglis magazines (Canadian HP) work fine but are surplus. They're still going strong and replacement springs could be bought from Wolff Gunsprings if necessary.
Avoid USA magazines like the plague.
For less money, I've had pretty decent luck with ProMags for the BHP in 9mm. These are around $15 a copy and have fed ball and JHP fine in my MkIII HPs. After heavy use, I have noted some burrs around one of the magazine's magazine catch notch so it MIGHT not be of quite as good steel as the others mentioned.
My advice is to buy all of the quality magazines you think you'll ever need WHILE you can get them.
I bought some MecGars and they work great.I also got some USA mags and I can`t say the same thing about them. They go in the well very hard and come out even harder.Even had a jam because the spring got stuck down and the rounds did not move up the mag.
