I have a stingray belt, a 1" wide one. It's not a gun belt just a dress belt. It has developed a small crack in two places, one of them starts at a buckle hole. Their both about 1/4" long. Do you have any suggestions as to how I can repair it? Glue or something?

Thanks,
Peter

Peter, If you can get under the area that is cracked by carefully lifting the skin you can glue it back down. The best glue would be
a good leather contact cement like Barge leather cement. The trick would be to allow the glue to dry to a tacky condition before sticking the two parts back together.
That's one of the reasons I'm not too crazy about exotics. The skins are very thin, and even shark, or Ray skin which is a very tough material, sometimes wont't take the flexing that normal leather will.
