I am looking for a synthetic 1.25 inch belt to replace my Wilderness Ring Belt. Are there any good one's out there? If 1.25 is not available, 1.5 is the other alternative.

Thanks

The Uncle Mikes "Mirage" holster belts are made of unwoven nylon (they look like leather) and are 1.25" wide. They are strong and stiff enough for gunbelt use.

If you wish to go to a 1.5" width, The Wilderness offers their Instructor belt in that width. Regular, 5-stitch, and reinforced models are available.

How is the Uncle Mike's stuff? I am thinking, as soon as I can afford it, to pick up a Milt Sparks belt. The pics I have seen do not make them look like gun belts at all, very pretty. Anyone have any thoughts?

The Uncle Mike's belts are nice and inexpensive. Gunwriter Rob Garrett has put a lot of miles on his Mirage belt and has posted that they wear like iron.

In leather, my friends Tony Kanaley http://www.miltsparks.com , Lou Alessi http://www.rfholsters.com , Mark Waldon http://www.waldonholsters.com , and the Schafers http://www.raftersgunleather.com all make excellent belts. Stay away from the "football & diamond" gunfighter stitching and no one will be the wiser.
