I have a couple 220s (had 3, sold one) that I like a LOT.

I suspect the new all steel 220ST will be more durable, but I like the light weight of the alloy frame.

I wonder if the alloy frame/stamped slide model will stick around as is, or will SIG put the new one piece milled ST slide on the old alloy frames and phase out the stamped slide model?

The trend is that the milled slide (as opposed to the stamped slide) is probably just as cost effective, as well as a more stable platform for ignition. The rigidity of the milled slide cannot be in dispute. The solid milled slide slows up impact velocity of the slide and any flexing of a stamped slide. The problem of roll pin disintegration is all but eliminated. The P226 in 9mm are now made from milled slides. The trigger return spring has also changed in favor of a more durable unit. In smaller and lighter guns (notably the P245)SIG has chosen to stick with stamped slides for light weight reduction (probably nothing else).
