Greetings! Being a tech-oriented person (and a busy one), I just bought a palm pilot. Does anyone know of a program for Palm OS that lets you calculate or store ballistics information?

This could be really useful for competition shooting. If anyone has any ideas about where to find that, it would be great!

Thanks!

Yup, go to KTOG.org -- that's the Kel-Tec owner's group. On their homepage they have a link to a couple of Palm applications, one of which is a reloading database.

You might also go to palmgear.com -- mecca for Palm software. If there is a ballistics program out there, palmgear will have it.

I find that switching back and forth between my Journada 548c and Palm 7x wireless keeps me in the loop and on schedule.
I have not worked with the new color palm pilots how are they?

I just upgraded from the Palm 3 to an M100. I thought about getting the M105, but I really don't need the 8 megs of memory - 2 is plenty for most things, and it's much easier on the pocket. I LOVE the screen on the M100, and it is much smaller than the 3 or 7. It's a nice little helper. The screens on the color palms are very nice, but I could buy a gun for that much cash!

I'll check those links out - thanks for the help!

Now I'm a tech junkie and a gun junkie!

Mine's a Palm V. I like it a lot. Of course just a couple of months after I bought it they came out with the Vx with 8megs rather than the 2 I have -- really annoying. But with good file management and FlashPro 2megs should be plenty for quite a while.

I've played with the color Handspring -- very cool. However, the additional weight & width aren't worth it, in my opinion. The Palm V and Vx are about as slim as it's possible to get, so I just slip it in a jacket pocket. Can't do that with the chunky color models.

Oh, and try http://www.constantforce.com/index2.htm for the BalCal 6.2 software. The previous address I gave was for the features page which talks about the Palm applications that come with it. This link is for the front page.

Okay, favorite "must-have" Palm applications?

Mine would have to include BackupBuddy, FlashPro and DateBook4 -- can't have a Palm without them.

What're yours?

I would have to say that I have become very fond of MS Streets and Trips for my Journada.
I have found maps for the entire USA and believe it or not most of the UK and Europe.
