I was in a hurry this afternoon, and decided to rewrite this post.
Pictured below is a slide that came into my shop this afternoon, from another smith, for some machine work.
I thought some of you might find it interesting.
Its done in '4 Color Desert Camo', Moly Gun Kote, onto a base of MilSpec Manganese Phosphate, by:

Oh my. Is it some sort of enamel or lacquer? Was the frame camo too? Yikes. I'd love to see the gun when you're done working it over. Keep the pics coming!

Ok,
Time to get a ray skin dyed in O.D. by Garrity and a new 1911 in Woodlands Camo for the evenings when I suffer through the intolerable political meetings so I can feel
even more "incorrect" and smile the entire time as I listen to yet another reason to ban or regulate something completely ridiculous.
