Anyone got any favourite places to shop for your tactical goodies? Websites? Names/addresses?

Does your agency give you credit/allowance for miscellaneous tactical purchases?

Shane -

I have no ONE place to go to for gear, as I am very picky about every individual item, and I have found no place that carries all the manufacturer's products I prefer.

As far as reimbursement - my agency just started issuing holsters to plainclothes personnel in the last 11 months. I write my gear off on my taxes.

Botach Tactical (www.botach.com) is a good source for tactical
and related gear, and if you get on their list they will e-mail you with weekly specials at great discounts.
I'm rather fortunate in having three budgets to work from on my department: a firearms budget, a tactical team budget, and a
general training supplies budget. I can usually aquire what I or another officer needs by accessing one of the three.

I buy from many sources. If they don't have the gear I want (or the best price), I'll shop around. My favorites include Galls, and also Botach. Locally (Seattle) is a police supply store/chain, Blumenthal's.

We get about $600 USD annually to spend on "approved" items.
