I was shopping around for new loads to try out in my USP40C and came across this Powermax brand. It is a 165 gr Gold Dot bullet loaded to 1000+ fps, I don't remember the the spec's off the top of my head. Has anyone had any experience with this brand?
I also bought a box each of Federal HS 165gr and 180 gr and a box of the Winchester white box. The shop that I was at didn't have any others in stock. Any other suggestions?
As far as Gold Dot type rounds, I prefer the Pro Load brand, specifically the 180gr load. Their quality is far above Speer and Georgia Arms, IMHO. I haven't tried the Powermax stuff.
I'm also a big fan of the Winchester USA JHP'S in .40.
What calibers did you end up testing and in which guns? What did you like/dislike about them? I ended up buying a box of 50 to try, but haven't had a chance to get to the range with them yet. I hope to try them out within the next week or so.
