OK Gentlemen,

I need some help (again!). I am trying to take out the ambi safety on my Kimber Pro Eclipse II.

Does anyone know how this is done? I have Jerry Kuhnhausen's book(s) on the 45 & I saw where he addressed the standard safety, but I have no idea how to get the factory ambi safety off of this pistol (I wanted to check the mating surfaces on the sear, etc.)

Any help would be appreciated!

Remove the right side grip panel, then remove the right side of the ambi safety. It should just lift out, you may have to wiggle it, but don't force it! Then remove the left side of the safety as you would on any other 1911.
