Hello to the list:
This is an open question to all the smith's on the list. I am considering replacing the stock barrel on my full size Kimber with a new match barrel. I carry jacketed ammo but practice with lead reloads. Which barrel would be the better choice, Barsto, or Kart? I would also like to replace the Kimber fixed sights with adjustable combat sights and would like any opinions on using MMc adjustables, or should I use Bomar's? My experience tells me that the Kimber barrel fitted correctly is as good as anything on the market. I'd get someone to refit the barrel correctly first..if that is possible and it usually is.

That said my favorite aftermarket barrel is a BarSto.

Kimber barrels do in fact shoot well when fitted. I have several that shoot under 2" at 25 yds.

As for sights you can not go wrong with Bomar
MMCs are just too ugly for anything except a S&W auto
