I have a Kimber Gold Match and I'm wondering which parts on this model are prone to failure. I may order parts for back up or upgrade, so let me know if you have suggestions on replacement parts and who to buy from.
I would like to hear from Dane if you have the time. thanks

Who knows? I've sent a very large number of rounds through my Kimber Gold Combat and I'm still waiting for something, anything, to break. Bilby used to tell me that the MIM parts on the Kimber were suspect, but I have yet to see it.
Best Wishes, Mark Shuell.

I would suggest having a spare of the common items that can/do break on ANY 1911.

1) Fitted firing pin stop
2) Fitted and tuned extractor
3) Tested slide stop
4) Firing pin
5) Recoil and firing pin springs
