Hello All, again,

I've been looking at various BHPs and FEGs around the web (i.e. gunsamerica.com) and they all look pretty much the same, I was initally surpised at the simularity between the BHP and my FEG.

My FEG seems to be a bit unique compared to all the ones I have seen on the web. On the top o' the slide, from stem to stern, is a raised flat metal "strap" that is knurled(?). This piece stands about 3/16 on an inch above the slide and is supported by a half dozen diamonds shaped supports that sit on the centerline of the gun. Both front and rear sights are mounted on this "strap".

The closest thing I've seen to this is the ribbed barrel on Dirty Harry's .44.

Can anybody give me the Who, What and Why of this thing? Did BHPs ever have this feature?

I will send a picture if someone provides instructions-

Ya, mean it won't win any beauty contests? It's not as ugly as me, that's a good thing - I wouldn't want my pistol to be purttier than I am.

The thing never jams and always does what it was made to do.

Bud
