The stainless version would be the 6906. I am no fan of S&W autos, but many agencies in my state issued them at one time, and the Officers hated to let them go. After being issued new weapons, many Officers purchased their formerly issued Smiths. Does it have the long, squared trigger guard, or the round one?
Well, they're NOT 1911s! I've got a pile of 1911 based guns. They and the HiPower are my favorites. That out of the way, someone gave me a 469 (earlier version of the gun you have)as payment for some work. I must say that it has been absolutely reliable, reasonably accurate, and worst of all  !
I had a 669, which was the 2nd generation version of the 6906, and loved it. Traded it away, which was a mistake. My carry gun is the 4013TSW, which is essentially a 6906 chambered in .40S&W. I like the compact Smith autos a lot.
