The stock trigger in my 10FP is underwhelming, even after adjustment. Are there any good, drop-in triggers made for these guns?

#6, The following link gives a detailed account of proper trigger adjustment for the Savage. You need to change the spring to obtain a suitable pull.
The Sharp Shooter Supply trigger is a good one and Timney is supposed to have a Savage trigger ready for delivery. There are a lot of Savage shooters at the following two forums and they will be more than glad to help you with your questions.

As I understand it, Savage trigger parts are sintered. Thus, filing is contraindicated, as it removes the hardened surface and exposes the soft metal beneath.

This does not strike me as desirable.

try Sinclair. they sell a timney I put in my 10flp .223 things like glass.

I installed a Sharp Shooter trigger unit in my 10 FLP and I have been very happy with this trigger system. I purchase the trigger from Brownells. Several adjustments are required to include the trigger guard. I have a crisp 1.5 # trigger now. Adios
