Recently I acquired a new Series 70 blue slide which I would like to mate to a stainless Series 80 frame for a two tone gun. I realize to do that I will have to do either: (1) remove the bar from the Series 80 frame that pushes up the firing pin safety or (2) have the Series 70 slide drilled to allow the bar to move as the trigger is pulled. Any advice as to which way to go and has anyone done this? I would prefer to leave the frame stock in case I want to put the original slide back on. Thanks in advance for your help and advice.

You can leave the 80 series firing pin safety parts out of the frame, you just need to buy a spacer that will fit next to the sear..I think you can find it in Brownell`s catalog. Reinstall parts to use 80 upper...
