I cannot get my Hi Power reassembled with a shok buff installed. It is a Buffer Technologies unit via Brownells. I can't get the slide far enough back to install the slide stop. I put one in my girlfriends Kimber with no problem. Is the shok buff to thick? Should I remove some material to thin it out some? Also, who makes an adjustable night sight that fits the Millett sight cut?
I would rather modify the sight, not the gun.

Hello. This is the one downside to the Buffer Techs that I've seen so far. With use, you will be able to lock the slide back in the disassemble position, but for right now, I suggest pushing the front of the slide against a work table til it's flush with the frame and then remove/insert slide release lever for field stripping/reassembly.
