I recently acquired one of the European police trade-in P225s that are on the market. It is 1980 dated and seems new aside from holster wear. I did notice some marks on the top of the barrel lug, looks like the barrel makes slight contact with the slide. Also, there is some very slight peening on the slide/barrel lug interface. I only noticed this when I field stripped the gun and inspected the front of the barrel lug.

Is this reason for concern? I cant imagine the gun has been fired much, perhaps 1000 rounds or so, the barrel looks new.

I'm new to Sigs BTW.

A lot of guns get "smiles" on their barrels and Sig's seem to too.

I've seen them on several Sig's but not all.

I personally do not think you gun is damaged at all.

Go forth and shoot away. IMHO

By the way here s a picture of my P226 Swiss Police trade in.

It really looked sad ... I had the slide redone for $79 by CCR and added aluminum grips

I think it look great now.
