I want to replace the factory sights on my Springfield milspec .45. I plan on using Hydra Shok 230gr for defense and 230gr hardball and 200gr lead for practice/plinking. I would like to use the Heinie fixed sight but worry about the difference in point of impact at 25 yards for each of the loads. I would guess that the Hydra Shok and hardball will hit pretty close together, but the 200gr lead bullet is a big question mark. Should I forget the Heinie and go with Bomars instead? Or, should I try to find a load for my 200gr lead bullets that will hit close to where the other two hit? Has anyone had any success in doing that?
