I'm sitting somewhere around week 4 and waiting. Yes it's the famous anticipation of an Alessi Holster arriving.. It keeps you up at night and makes you lose your appetite. The holster in question is a CQC-I for a Kahr K40 and a Magazine pouch... I just go back to waiting for now.. Happy ThanksGiving to all..

Waiting here as well, Alessi ankle rig for Glock model 33 and a full CQCS Glock model 20, with belt and mag pouches.

FWIW,
Lou did mention the other day that since 09/11/01 they have been seriously overwhelmed with orders and he is working over time to stay on top of things.

I do appologize for the long waiting times.
We have been seriously swamped since 9/11, and we have a couple of long time contracts with agencies who insist that delivery cannot exceed 45 days from time of order. There's nothing we can do about that, and when they call, we have to jump through hoops to get the work done.
I absolutely HATE making customers wait, because I sure hate waiting. I've been doing this for 30 years, and have never seen it this hectic. We were quite heavily involved in the Iran Contra supply chain with Col. North, and I thought THOSE times were trying.
It pales compaired to what has happened since
the 9/11 attack! Even leather has been at a premium lately, and I've never had trouble obtaining as much leather as we ever needed.

I know most everyone in the gun industry is deluged with orders right now, and all I can say is please be patient. We're working as long and as hard as we can to get these orders finished. I had a call yesterday from an agency who wanted to order 250 ankle holsters to be delivered in two weeks, and I turned them down. An order that large cannot be made in that length of time.
Anybody out there know how to operate a harness stitching machine?
I would like to thank all of you for the business, and hopefully, you won't be disappointed.

Its worth the wait! My GWH took about three months but the 1.5" tapered belt was about 3-4 weeks. Everyone that is anybody in holsters and guns seems seriously covered up right now. The Military and Law Enforement is in first place as well they should be!

Maybe I should have mentioned I'm a lowly LEO. Actually I'm sure the holster will be worth the wait and I mostly use Safariland at work. I have the patience of Job, after all I have a 16 year old son... Take your time Lou and have a happy Thanksgiving.. Stay Safe

I didn't mean to sound like I was disatisfied or anything, just trying to make light of the fact that quality takes time. I have several of Lou's holsters already and am glad to be waiting as opposed to trying to decide which one to buy. I was also trying to generate a little bit of posting here also. I apologize and did not intend to ruffle any feathers. Happy Thanksgiving...

No apology warrented, just wanted to be clear what the wait was even with out 9/11 to Alessi leather orders on list.

My personal belt is long past that with Lou looking for a hide big enough to fit!

DepMur, No way I thought you were complaining at all! I kinda figured you were just tweaking my sense of compassion a bit..
By the way, I checked, and your order will be cut next week, so it won't be long now
Never feel the need to appologize. I've grown a thick skin over the last 30 years!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving ! And above all, have patience with that 16 year old.
You think you got problems, I just turned 57, and I got a 13 year old girl, who thinks she's 24! What makes it worse, is that she's got a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and thinks she can go 'toe to toe' with me, but I can still kick her ass! At least on a good day

I'd like to say I deliver everything at my work when people think they should get it, but then I'd be a lying SOB! I have enough trouble hitting the guesstimates I give them.

I'm sure good things will come to those who wait.

DepMur, I have a 20 yr old son, I used to have a full head of hair, and I think I'm starting to see some progress out of him! Hang in there.

Lou, my 17 yr old daughter wants a heavy bag for Christmas, so she can "Have some fun" in the basement? What's your advice?

Mark, Don't do it!!!! Next she'll want to practice her punching skills on a live target,,YOU! Every time I fool around with my daughter, she winds up getting me in some kind of an arm lock, and I have to threaten her with a left hook to get her to stop hurting me !

I never realized the quality of life your kids can give you, too bad its not all good quality. Actually I thank God each and every day that my son is the person he is. I've seen a lot worse and not many that are better. As far as that thick skin Lou, I'd say so with a 13 year old at your age, Dad do you wanna listen to the latest (unknown singers, useing that word loosely), they are a great band...
