Apparently according to CNN S&W has been sold to an Arizona based Co.

Saw the sale announced on Shooters.com..
Hope the agrement is now null and void..
Smith may not be the best gun in the world but it is one of
the few that are for sale new in this great state. As anyone
who resides here knows new guns are few and far between..
Hell used ones sell for more than the list price of new..
Thank god we got a AG that lookes out for his people..

It's on the S&W site as well.

No word on the agreement, but Saf-T-Lok is the one that backed mandating internal locks, to try to sell more of their product.

I actually know/knew some people that had stock in Saf-T-Lok, wonder whatever happened to them.
