I own both Scorpions and Surefires. I'm not quite as disappointed with the Scorpion as Chad appears to be, but I still agree that the Surefire is a better light. Both lights are quality made, but the Surefire just seems a little bit stronger in construction and light intensity.
The Surefire also lets you change lamp assemblies from the standard 65 lumens to 120 lumens. Of course your battery life is cut in 1/3 (lasts only about 20 minutes), but the light it puts out is incredible.
That being said, I would still recommend the Scorpion if someone was set on getting one.
