Just recently started loading copper coated instead of lead swc. I sure like the hole that the swc made in the targets. Could see them real good with my bad eyes.
I felt that since I shoot more indoors than out it was good idea to change...............what do you guys load.

I shoot both LSWC and Rainier SWC in bullseye; of course, it is the fifty foot indoor variety at the local range.

I have found that the LSWC (I'm using D&J right now) are just a slight bit more accurate, but the smoke from the lube burning off is killing my sinuses.

As far as SWC stuff, for .45 auto, I load mostly West Coast 200gr. LSWC, over either Bullseye or W231. Very accurate and predictable. As I shoot outdoors, lead is no problem. If you happen to shoot Para Ords, just be sure to load at 1.240-1.245" COL, for proper mag functioning.

I have been shooting Rainiers, but the next lot will be West Coast Bullets. I was using 155gr FP in my .40, going to 155gr RNFP. In my .45 was using 200gr HP, going to 230gr RN. The reason for the change, cost. I can get West Coast bullets factory direct at a cost savings that I can not with Rainier.

I've pretty much stopped shooting lead as well. Switched to Ranier and Berry's plated for awhile, now use West Coast plated bullets because I can get them cheaper than most others.
