Taurus PT-145
Handled a Taurs PT-145 yesterday at a local gun shop. Very nice fit and finish.
Fits my hand better than a Glock 36. Has a double action only trigger and a thumb safety that is positive (snick,snick). Ten rounds of .45 ACP in a lightweight and compact package.
The trigger pull was reasonably smooth with a fairly long, somewhat gritty travel. It's not like a tuned revolver unfortunately.
The thumb safety is a nice feature even thought the pistol is double action. I wouldn't feel at all uncomfortable carrying holstered with the thumb safety off, but if you were an LEO, it would sure confuse someone who snatched your gun. It's not a paddle like a tricked out 19ll. It's compact and well-designed.
