I see Cylinder and Slide and some others offer a tool steel sear for the Hi-Power. How necessary is it compared to using the factory sear? Do you have one included when having work done on your Hi-Powers.

Thanks.

Baer,

My understanding is that the factory sear is a cast part. I have a C&S sear in my .40 HP. I don't shoot it enough to tell if it is worth it in the long run.

FWIW, I will have some work done on a 9mm HP soon. This will include a EGW sear. I selected the EGW beacuse of George's reputation and I like to support good people.

Mike
